Don Bollards Mourn Loss of Infant Son
Mr. and Mrs. Don Bollard mourn the loss of their infant son, Gerald Edward, who passed away a few hours after birth Friday morning in a Fort Dodge hospital. Mrs. Bollard, the former Marion Thursh is getting along quite well now although her condition over the week end was very serious. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thrush were called down there last Thursday. Mr. Thrush returned to Estherville Sunday but Mrs. Thrush is still with her daughter. The child was the great grandson of Mrs. Alpha Lineagar and Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Thrush of Estherville.Private funeral services were held in Estherville Saturday afternoon with Rev. F. W. Ortmeyer in charge of the services which were conducted at the Oak Hill cemetery.
Mrs. F. M. Whiting and Mrs. F. Bollard of Fort Dodge, accompanied the body of the child here for the funeral services Saturday. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, February 20, 1940)
