Harvey R. Beaver Dies
Harvey R. Beaver, 86, retired farmer, died at 6:30 p.m. yesterday at his rural home of a heart condition. Mr. Beaver had been in failing health and had taken sick Easter Sunday.

He was born June 11, 1869, in Pennsylvania and came to Dallas County with his family when he was two years of age. Forty-two years ago he came to Emmet county and settled on a farm west of town.

Mr. Beaver was united in marriage to Hattie Armagost Jan. 5, 1896, in Dallas Center.

He was a member of the Church of Brethren in Dallas Center and placed his membership with the Estherville Christian church in 1930.

Survivors include in addition to his wife include seven sons, Melvin, Merle, McKinley and Floyd, all of Estherville; Charles of Fenton, Howard of Wallingford and Lloyd of Paramont, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Martin (Katie) Burkholder and Mrs. Derly (Hazel) Stone both of Ft. Dodge, Mrs. Walter (Erma) Dean of Eagle Bend, Minn., Mrs. Cecil (Margaret) Seeliger of Estherville and Mrs. Norris (Dorothy) Lee of Wallingford.

Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Elmer Book of Dayton, O., 22 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A daughter Mary preceded Mr. Beaver in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Christian church, the Rev. Lester Strubhar officiating.

Friends may call at Sternborg Funeral home from Sunday and until time of services Tuesday. The casket will not be opened after the service. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 14, 1956)
