W. H. Woodyard Dies
W. H. Woodyard passed away Tuesday [September 13, 1938] afternoon at his home in Raleigh after an illness of several years. He is survived by his wife and children, who have the sympathy of this community. Funeral arrangements have not been completed but a complete obituary will appear later. Services for Wm. Woodyard Held Last Week
William Henry Woodyard was born Feb. 19, 1861 in Toronto Canada. When he was six years old he came to Illinois. He was married at Princeton, Illinois, to Miss Ellen Scott, February 27, 1885 and settled in Green county for three years and from there to their farm in Emmet county where he has resided the past 28 years.

He passed away Tuesday Sept. at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 5 days. Besides his wife he leaves to mourn their loss five sons; William of Spirit Lake, Harry of Estherville, Manuel of Terril, Lloyd of Nye, Wisconsin and Glen at home; three brothers, Richard of Fostoria, Robert of Nemaha and Creighton at Carroll and two sisters Mrs. Sarah Hughes of Salix and Mrs. Wm. McPeck of Sioux City.

All sisters and brothers and sons attended the funeral beside the following out of town people: Mrs. Pearl Lindbloom and Mrs. M. Sweeten and daughters Wanda and Barbara of Des Moines, William Pierce, Mrs. R. Trevett and Mrs. N. Nagel and baby of Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Woodyard of Fostoria.
