Ex-Resident Dies
Mrs. Walter Wratten, formerly of Estherville, died last night at her Cedar Rapids home.She is the sister-in-law of Harry Wratten, Estherville, and Mrs. Otto Klein, Estherville. Her husband survives. The couple moved from Estherville in the early 1920’s. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 29, 1969)

Vivienne Delores Wratten, wife of Walter F. Wratten, 1229 Twentieth street SW, a Cedar Rapids resident 33 years, died Friday following a sudden illness. Born Jan. 7, 1895, at Woonsocket, S.D., she was married May 3, 1915, at Worthington, Minn.Mrs. Wratten was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Dr. Jay G. Wratten of Cedar Rapids and William F. Wratten of Arlington Heights, Ill.; a daughter, Shirley W. Syers of Bettendorf, and eight grandchildren.
Memorial services: Turner chapel east at 9 a.m. Monday by Dr. John P. Woods. Graveside services: Oak Hill cemetery, Estherville, at 3:30 p.m. Monday. Friends may call at the chapel until 9 p.m. Sunday. The casket will not be opened after the service. (Cedar Rapids Gazette, Cedar Rapids, IA, March 29, 1969)
