Joseph A. Weber Laid to Rest in Oak Hill Cemetery Here
Joseph A. Weber was the son of George and Mary Weber and was born at Des Moines, Iowa, February 27th, 1870.

The days of his boyhood and young manhood were lived in Des Moines and the vicinity of Dallas Center, Iowa.

In 1912 he moved with his family to Emmet County and located on a farm east of Estherville, continuing his occupation as a farmer until 1921 when he moved into the city of Estherville where he has since resided.

Mr. Weber was united in marriage to Miss Gertie Adrian on the 16th of January, 1895. To this union four children were born, one of whom died in early youth.

Mr. and Mrs. Weber united with the Christian church at Dallas Center in 1903.

Following an illness which has covered a period of months. Mr. Weber passed away last Thursday [April 14, 1932] morning at the age of 62 years, one month and fourteen days. He is survived by his wife and companion of 37 years, two sons, Harry Weber and Glen Weber, both living on farms east of Estherville; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Green of Lockport, Illinois; five sisters, Mrs. Louisa Purcell, Mrs. Katherine Stoll, Mrs. Mary Robinson and Mrs. Anna Grelf, all of Dallas Center, Iowa or vicinity; and Mrs. Ella Solman of Biloxi, Mississippi. Also six grandchildren, four of whom are the children of Mrs. Ralph Green, and two the children of Harry Weber.

The funeral services were conducted from the Presbyterian Church at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, April 16th, Rev. Arthur G. Bailey officiating, assisted by Rev. C. R. Neal now supplying the Christian Church of Estherville. The music was provided by a quartette, consisting of Mrs. N. H. McKerral, Mrs. John Greig, Mr. Fred Albertson, and Mr. O. F. Manthey, with Mrs. J. H. Cramer at the organ. The selections sung were “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere,” “Going Down the Valley One by One,” and “Nearer My God to Thee.” Interment was made in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
