Estherville – Mabel Katherine Smith, 72, Estherville, died early today at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Services for Mrs. Smith will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Episcopal Church, Estherville, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, after 11 a.m. Friday.

Born May 16, 1904, in Knox, Ind., the daughter of Hal and Lovie Collins, Mrs. Smith received her education in Indiana and Colorado schools. She married George Smith on May 31, 1921, in Mason City and the couple moved to Estherville in 1929. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church.

Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Helene Wood; Anchorage, Alaska, and Lovie Marie Kellner, Walnut Creek, Calif.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two granddaughters, her parents and two brothers.
