Mr. G. W. Streeter died in Estherville, on Tuesday, May 23, of dropsy. For the past five years Mr. Streeter has lived with his daughter, Mrs. J. D. Goff, coming to this place from his home in New York in 1884. He has been very much esteemed and respected and his death has removed a familiar face from our midst. He was 81 years old at the time of his death. The bereaved relatives and friends have the sympathy of the entire community. (Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, May 30, 1890)

Died – On Friday evening, May 23d, Mr. Geo. W. Streeter, quietly passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. D. Goff, after an illness of a few days. Mr. Streeter was about 82 years of age, came to this state from New York in 1884 and resided in Estherville since that time. He had been a sufferer with rheumatism and dropsy for the past twenty years but bore all patiently. Mr. Streeter was a man who held the respect of all and his death is regretted by a large number of friends. The funeral occurred Saturday. (Emmet County Republican, Estherville, IA, May 29, 1890)
