Henry Snyder Dies at 71
Retired Farmer Succumbs at Home
Henry N. Snyder, 71, retired farmer of Estherville, died yesterday at 7:50 p.m. at his home in Estherville, of a heart attack. He had been ailing for a couple of months with attacks of the flu and a heart ailment.

He was born April 20, 1879 in Ford county, Paxton, Ill., and received part of his education there. At the age of 12 years he came to Emmet county with his parents, settling two miles north of Estherville and completing his education in the rural schools in Emmet county.

He was married March [ ] to Sophia Olson of Estherville and the couple farmed three miles northwest of Estherville from that time until retirement five years ago. Mr. Snyder was a member of the Estherville Lutheran church.

Survivors include his wife, and a sister, Effie Weir.

Services will be held Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at Sandin funeral home and at 2 p.m. at Estherville Lutheran church, the Rev. L. G. Hinderaker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
