Joseph Sifrit
Estherville – Funeral services for Joseph C. Sifrit, 75 Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Union Baptist Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Frederick Glasser officiating and burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery. He died March 16 at Holy Family Hospital.

Mr. Sifrit was born June 29, 1900 at Farmingsville to Frank and Flora McLane Sifrit and received his education in Beaver, Iowa, and Dodson, Mont. He was married to Gladys Barlow Aug. 21, 1927 at Spirit Lake, and has been employed with the John Morrell and Co. from1941 until his retirement in 1965. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys, Estherville; two sons, Kenneth Sifrit, St. Ann, Ill.; and Larry Sifrit, Estherville; four daughters, Mrs. James (Betty) Bush, Cayuga, Ind.; Mrs. Robert (Doris) Hull, Newark, Calif.; Mrs. Charlie (Beverly) Zitterich and Mrs. Donna Ayers, Estherville; 19 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Thelma Rose, Spencer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, one daughter and one son.
