Mrs. William Ridley, Sr., Passes Away
Mrs. William Ridley Sr., 63, of Estherville, died at 5:55 a.m. today at her home, 319 Fifth avenue north. She had been ill with cancer for the past three years.

Mrs. Ridley was born Sept. 25, 1888, near Dinsdale. She married William Ridley Nov. 7, 1913, in Armstrong. Her maiden name was Ruby Gertrude Mason.

The couple has lived in Emmet county since their marriage. Her husband has worked for the railroad since the couple moved to Estherville 31 years ago.

She is survived by her husband; a son, W. A. Ridley of Estherville; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. N. O. Nelson, and three brothers, Lester and Merton of Estherville and Loyle of Kellogg, Idaho.

Funeral services have been set tentatively for Wednesday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 28, 1952)

Mrs. William Ridley, Sr.’s funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Sternborg funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church. The Rev. John DeLong will officiate. Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery. Mrs. Ridley died at 5:55 a.m. yesterday at her home, W. 319 Fifth avenue north. She was 63. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 29, 1952)
