R. H. Ridley Funeral Will Be Tomorrow
Funeral services for Reuben Henry Ridley, 91, who died yesterday, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Sternborg funeral home.Mr. Ridley was born in Tennessee June 7, 1856, and was married to Eliza Jane Coulson Jan. 5, 1882, at Marathon, Buena Vista county, Iowa.
They had been residents of Emmet county for more than 52 years with the exceptionof a short period when they lived at Terril. Mr. Ridley was a carpenter by trade until the time of his retirement. Since that time he had enjoyed a hobby he learned when nine years old, that of knitting.
He is survived by his wife; his only two children, Ida J. Hamm of Plainview, Minn., and William Henry Ridley of Estherville; two grandchildren, Mrs. Irwin Beshman of Owatonna, Minn., and William A. Ridley of Estherville; three great grandchildren, Jean Frances Horswell of Ten Strike, Minn., and Bobby Allan and Ann Marie Ridley of Estherville. A grandson, Adlowe Horswell, died seven years ago.
