Keith Rogers Died
Keith Rogers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ike Rogers, passed away at the state institution at Clarinda last Wednesday [July 21, 1926] morning after an illness of several years. He was taken to this institution two years ago in the hopes that his condition could be bettered. All the care and attention possible has been done for him but his condition seemed beyond help. Death finally ended his misery and sufferings. The body was shipped back to this city and funeral services were held from the Ike Rogers home in this city Saturday afternoon. Mr. Rogers was a young man of thirty-one years of age and his sad death will be greatly deplored by his many friends. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, Carl Rogers, and three sisters, Mrs. E. E. Peterson, of Madison, Iowa, Mary and Dorothy, all of this city. The many friends of the family will extend their sympathy to them in their hours of sorrow and grief. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the home, Rev. P. A. Davies, of the Presbyterian church in charge. Interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, July 28, 1926)
