Reka Rauhauser Funeral Monday
Reka Rauhauser, 82, Estherville, died at 1:55 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 1971, at the Good Samaritan Center at Estherville as the result of a stroke.She was born April 5, 1889, at Pocahontas to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph DeWall. She was educated in Emmet County schools, moved to Emmet County with her parents when she was five years old.
She was married to Glenn Rauhauser Feb. 24, 1915, at her parents home in Twelve Mile Lake Township. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Estherville.
She is survived by three sons, Leroy of Tacoma, Wash., Dale of Culver City, Calif., and Clifford of Estherville; two daughters, Nettie Rauhauser of Estherville and Mrs. Roald (Eva) Vagle of Estherville; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, one brother, George DeWall of Terril and one sister, Mrs. Mary Payton, Graettinger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and three brothers.
Services were Monday at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville with the Rev. Ronald Flintgen officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Verlyn DeWall, Robert Rauhauser, Ralph Payton, Keith Nelson, Lester Grems and Irvin Runke. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 13, 1971)
