G. E. Rauhauser, 50, Dies After Heart Attack
Glenn E. Rauhauser, 50, Estherville died Thursday morning in a Spirit Lake hospital where he was taken following a heart attack. Rauhauser had been employed for a number of years by the Gamble Robinson company of Estherville as a truck driver.
Glenn E. Rauhauser was born July 13, 1894, in Black Hawk county and lived on a farm near Terril for about 12 years after which the family moved to Estherville where they have lived for the past 12 years. He was united in marriage to Reka DeWall Feb. 25, 1915, in Twelve Mile Lake township.
He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Nettie and Eva of Estherville, three sons, Leroy and Clifford, both in the navy and Dale in the army; a brother Dale, who is in the Navy and a brother, Purl, who lives at Waterloo. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, October 19, 1944)
Estherville Man Died of Heart Attack Here Early This Morning
G. E. Rauhauser, about 50, a truck driver for the Gamble Robinson Co. of Estherville died suddenly of a heart attack in Spirit Lake about 1 o’clock this Thursday morning. Mr. Rauhauser was in Reed’s Café at the time he was taken ill and was immediately taken to the local hospital. Mr. Rauhauser died before he could be moved into the hospital. Coroner Dr. B. W. Jones was called and stated the man died as the result of a heart attack.Mr. Rauhauser is said to be survived by his wife, two daughters and three sons in the armed forces.
