Husband of Former Resident Passes
Word has been received here of the death on Dec. 26 of D. W. Moffitt, 68, of Tulsa, Okla. Mrs. Moffitt is known in Estherville as Mrs. Rosella Amundson, at one time county recorder of Emmet county. Two children by a former marriage and the stepdaughter, with the widow survive Mr. Moffitt who had been very prominent in his home state. He was vice president of one of the oil companies at Tulsa and was active in welfare work. It was through his efforts mainly that welfare activities became organized, a movement that has become nation wide. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, January 10, 1933)
