Edith Mathwig Rites Monday
Miss Edith A. Mathwig, 84, Estherville, died Aug. 10, 1972, at Good Samaritan Center.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Ronald Flentgen officiating.

Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are being made at Fuhrman Funeral Home, where friends may call at any time Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday.

Miss Mathwig, a long-time resident of Estherville, is survived by her sister, Laura E. Mathwig, also of Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 10, 1972)

Funeral services for Edith A. Mathwig of Estherville were held at 2 p.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Miss Mathwig, 84, died Thursday, August 10, 1972, at Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

The Rev. R. B. Flentgen officiated over the service with music by Mrs. Ruth Fillenwarth, organist. Interment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Miss Mathwig, the daughter of Louis and Mathilda Mathwig, was born May 6, 1888, in Estherville. She received her education in the Estherville schools.

A lifelong resident of Estherville, she operated a millinery shop for many years. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville.

Miss Mathwig is survived by one sister, Laura, with whom she made her home in Estherville; and several nieces and nephews in South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Amanda.
