Former Local Merchant Dies
Word was received here this morning by Sandin Funeral home of the death yesterday of Charles Lewis, 75, of Chokio, Minn., former Estherville merchant. Mr. Lewis had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services are being planned for Monday in Morris, Minn., and following rites there the body will be brought here for services and burial, probably on Tuesday are being made by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bauman but have not yet been completed as yet. Mr. Lewis and Mr. Bauman were partners for several years in the Estherville Hardware Store. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis moved from Estherville around 1945 after selling his interest in the store to Mr. Bauman. He owned farm property near Chokio. He is survived by his widow.
