Rites Held For Mrs. Kohlstadt
Aged Woman Dies In Hospital
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Catherine Kohlstadt, 78 years old, who died Tuesday afternoon, March 11, were held Friday afternoon at the Mahlum and Anderson chapel. The Rev. Alva Ragsdale officiated. Burial was in the Oak Hill cemetery. Mrs. Kohlstadt has lived in Estherville with her son, J. F. Kohlstadt, for the past four years, moving here from Terril, where she lived for 31 years.

Mary Catherine Ludy was born April 7, 1851, near Pearl City, Ill. She was married to Fredrick Kohlstadt June 16, 1866, and he died June 16, 1913, on their fortieth wedding anniversary. They moved to Rockford n 1878 and a few years later they moved to Terril.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Anna M. Pietzke of Clear Lake, and Mrs. Lydia M. Witbee of Fleetwood, Minn., and three sons, J. F., of Estherville, John L. of Bellingham, Wash. and C. E., of Terril. (Estherville News, Estherville, IA, March 20, 1930)
