ESTHERVILLE – Joseph A. Brinkman, 74, Estherville, died Friday, June 14, 1978, at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Services for Mr. Brinkman were held Monday morning at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville, with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Interment was in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Estherville.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brinkman, he was born March 28, 1904, in Clinton County. He moved with his family to Emmet County and received his education in Estherville Schools.

On Dec., 30, 1935, he was married to Mary Benesh at Estherville. The couple farmed south of Estherville. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville, and the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Brinkman is survived by tow sons, Jerome Brinkman, Estherville, and Dennis Brinkman, St. Paul, Minn., three daughters, Mrs. Joanne Torpy, Loveland, Colo., Mrs. Diane Noll, Linn Grove, and the Mrs. Bernadette Kennedy, Greenville, Ohio; and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two brothers.

Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, was in charge of arrangements.
