Carl Ingvall, 76, Passed Away Monday Night
Funeral at Estherville This Afternoon
Carl E. Ingvall, 76, Estherville, died at his home Monday [July 23, 1945] night at 10 p.m. He had been ill since February

Mr. Ingvall was born in Sweden near Stockholm and came to the United States when he was 22 years old. He settled first at Ruthven and later moved to Estherville. He had lived in Estherville 48 years during which time he was an automobile mechanic, had been proprietor of a garage and in later years had a bicycle repair shop.

Mr. Ingvall was married 46 years ago to Julia Norris at Ruthven.

He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Sifrit of Estherville, and one son, Edwin E. Ingvall of Minneapolis. Other survivors include his sisters and brothers, Mrs. Ollie Saunders, of Kansas City, Mrs. Agnes Trotzig of Withrop, Minn., Mrs. Anna Smith of Estherville, Dave Ingvall of Huntington and Victor Ingvall of Estherville.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Sternborg funeral chapel and at 2 p.m. at the Estherville Lutheran church with the Rev. C. M. Hanson in charge. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, July 26, 1945)
