Funeral services were Monday at 10:30 a.m. for Norman E. Beastrom, 66, of Estherville at the Estherville Lutheran Church with burial at the Estherville Lutheran Cemetery.

Mr. Beastrom died at 5 a.m. Saturday at Good Samaritan Center where he had been a resident since 1965. He had suffered a stroke after a lengthy illness.

He was born Nov. 10, 1904, at Ellsworth, Wis., the son of Ella and John Beastrom. He received his education in Wisconsin. On Oct. 15, 1956, he married Alma Valen of Estherville at Ellsworth, Wis. He cam to Emmet County where he farmed from 1956 until his retirement in 1961 due to ill health. He was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lama; one daughter, Ruth, a student at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D.; one brother, Olaf of Ellsworth, Wis., and on sister, Mrs. Donald Johnson of Hager City, Wis. His parents and one sister preceded.

The Rev. Stephen Engelstad and the Rev. Oscar Engelbretson officiated at the rites. Bearers were John Beastrom, Gary Beastrom, Archie Sunde, Robert Valen, Donald Valen and Laverne Valen.

Reese-Henry Funeral Home was in charge.
