Lilith Combs Shonkwiler, 1882-1968

ESTHERVILLE—Funeral services for Mrs. Lilith Emily Shonkwilter, 86, of Estherville will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Reese-Henry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.

Mrs. Shonkwiler died Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital.

Born Aug. 31, 1882, at Rising City, Neb., she attended Cedar Falls Teachers college in Iowa and taught school in both Iowa and Nebraska. June 18, 1906 she was married to Simon A. Shonkwiler at Arnolds Park.

Survivors include five sons, Oliver, Richard and Roger, all of Estherville, Lincoln of Hamilton, Mont., and Douglas of Dumont, N.J.; two daughters, Mrs. Claude Willey of Storm Lake and Mrs. Lowell Evans of Newport Beach, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Jay Neil Combs of Newport Beach and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Lou Blank of Pasedena, Texas, Miss Georgia Combs of Estherville and Mrs. Beulah Thompson of San Francisco.
