Rites Held For Adelbert Dyke, 74 Years Old
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday by the Rev. A. L. Ragsdale for Adelbert Dyke, 74, who died Saturday. Burial was made in Oak Hill cemetery.

Adelbert Dyke was born Dec. 5, 1855, in Vermont and when eight years old his parents moved to Grundy county. He lived in Dickinson county 20 years and then moved to this county where he has resided 20 years.

On March 4, 1879, he was married to Miss Ludena Taylor and they were the parents of two children, Charles, of Plaza, N.D., and Mrs. A. R. Markley of Estherville, He was reared in the Christian church and for many years held membership in the Odd Fellows. (Estherville News, Estherville, IA, September 5, 1929)
