Mrs. W. G. Hangartner of Martin county, Minn., died Monday morning [September 2, 1929] following an operation at Ceylon and funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at the Presbyterian church here by the Rev. Herbert Marsh. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.Lillie May Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Schmidt was born June 4, 1878, in De Kalb county, Ill. Four years later the family moved to Emmet county, settling near Huntington. In 1911 they moved to Martin county, Minn., where they have resided since.
Mrs. Hangartner is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Cecil Oulman and Mrs. Raymond Janssen, and six brothers, Robert of Rowley, Emil of Wasco, Calif., Herman of Enderlin, N. Dak., Albert and Alvin of Cedar Rapids, and George of Crystal Lake, Minn. (Estherville News, Estherville, IA, September 5, 1929)
