Infant daughter of John Burkart Passes Tuesday
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o’clock in the chapel of the Mahlum and Anderson funeral parlor for Mareitta Grace Burkart, 5-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Burkart, who died Tuesday [January 2,1940] night.

Services were led by the Rev. John Forrsell, pastor of the Baptist church and burial was made in the Oak Hill cemetery. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, January 4, 1940)
