Services Tuesday for Resident of Estherville
Mrs. Kenneth (Genevieve M.) Burrell, 49, died early Saturday [August 23, 1969] morning at Holy Family Hospital from cancer. She had been ill for the past 10 months. Funeral services will be held Tuesday.

She was born Oct. 13, 1919, at Harris to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Beck and was educated in the Harris schools. She was married May 29, 1938,to Kenneth Burrell at Canton, S.D. They have lived in Estherville since their marriage.

Mrs. Burrell was active in the Burrell Oil Company as a bookkeeper until her illness. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Estherville and the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, of Estherville; two sons, Jack and Jerry, both of Estherville; five grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Selmer Pedersen of Storden, Minn.; and one brother, Robert Beck of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her father and an infant brother.

Family services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the United Methodist Church, Estherville, followed by public services at 2 p.m. The Rev. Richard Pearson will officiate. Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery.

Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, until noon Tuesday. A memorial has been established to the Cancer Society. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 25, 1969)
