Clarence Zenor Passed Away Last Saturday
Clarence Sylvester Zenor was born in Boone County, Iowa, August 10th, 1892, and departed this life at Estherville, Iowa, March 31, 1928. Age 35 years, seven months and twenty-one days. He was taken seriously ill at about five o’clock and rushed to the Birney hospital and operated on, and every thing was done that could possibly be done for him, but to no avail. Some years ago he moved with his parents to Spirit Lake, Iowa, where they engaged in the restaurant business.From there he moved to North Dakota on a farm where he spent about ten years of his life.
In the year of 1917 he was married to Miss Nellie Barlow. Five years of their married life were spent on the farm in North Dakota, the rest of the time they have lived in Estherville.
He was a kind and loving husband. During the last hours of his life he gave his heart to God. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, and two sisters, Mrs. Clark Reed of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and Mrs. John Kay of Minnesota. His father and mother and two sisters having preceded him in death. Clarence Zenor Dies Following Operation Here
Clarence Zenor, 35, died Saturday at a local hospital following an operation last Wednesday. Funeral services were held yesterday at the home and at the Baptist church with the Rev. Yearnd officiating. Burial was made in Oak Hill.Clarence Sylvester Zenor was born August 10, 1892, in Boone county and several years ago he moved to Spirit Lake with his parents where they were engaged in the restaurant business. From there he moved to North Dakota where he farmed ten years.
He was married in 1917 to Miss Nellie Barlow and they have lived here since 1922. He is survived by his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Clark Reed of Spirit Lake and Mrs. John Kay of Minnesota. (Estherville News, Estherville, IA, April 4, 1928)
