12 Mile Lake New - Little Ida Zelinsky died last week. She was just past a year old. We extend sympathy. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, March 9, 1921)

Ida LeVona Zelinsky
Ida LeVona Zelinsky was born February 10, 1920, near Terril, Iowa, and died February 28, 1921, having lived only one year and eighteen days. When little Ida LeVona was only seven days old her mother died, leaving her to the loving care of others. Her father took her and went to live with his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Mike Zelinsky. Here she was loved and cherished by not only the grandfather and grandmother, but equally so by all members of the family as well. She was a bright and beautiful child and held undisputed sway in the hearts of the whole family; but a few days ago she became sick and could not make a successful fight for life and quietly passed away on Monday, February 28. She heard the Master say, “Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not.”

Wherefore should I make my moan
Now the darling child is dead?
She to rest is early one.
She to Paradise is fled.
I shall go to her, but she
Never shall return to me.”

Funeral services were held from the home of her grandparents on Thursday afternoon, March 3. Rev. J. W. LaGrone of the Methodist Episcopal church of Estherville was in charge. Beautiful music was furnished by friends and neighbors of the Terril church. The little body was brought to Estherville and buried in the family lot in Oak Hill cemetery.
