Death entered the household of Mr. Nels Elias Monday, and robbed them of a winsome little son about a year old. The mother is at present prostrated with grief. (Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, August 1, 1884)

Mr. and Mrs. Nels Elias lost their little baby last week. We did not learn the cause of death. It was about one year old. The Herald sympathizes with the parents in this great loss to them. (Emmet County Herald, Estherville, IA, August 8, 1884)
