Mrs. George Schaad [Jr.] Died On Wednesday
Mrs. George Schaad [Nettie Simar Schaad] passed away Wednesday at the state hospital in Cherokee after a lingering illness. Mrs. Schaad had been receiving treatment at the state hospital for the past several years. She was a member of one of Estherville’s pioneer families. Complications which arose from financial matters and other worries, together with her failing health, made it necessary for her to become a ward of the state hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 o’clock at the Mahlum & Anderson funeral home. Burial will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.

The only living relative who survives her is a brother, a resident at the Emmet county poor farm. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, May 22, 1941)
