Mrs. Isabelle Morgan, wife of H. M. Morgan, mail clerk on the Albert Lea line of the Rock Island, passed away at 5 o’clock Friday [November 29, 1907] morning after a lingering illness.

Isabelle McEwen Morgan was born in Edinburg, Scotland, December 17, 1841, and came to Chicago when fourteen years of age. She made her home in that city for twenty-one years, being married to H. M. Morgan, September 14, 1866. The family then moved to Burlington, which was their home for some time, coming to Estherville four years ago.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by four children, Lee H. of Burlington; Arthur of Spokane, Washington; Cora of Salt Lake City and Lulu, living at home.

She was a consistent Christian and had for many years been connected with the Methodist Episcopal church, being active in Sunday school and missionary work. She was a lovable woman and lived a beautiful Christian life.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. S. Cole at the First Methodist Episcopal church at two o’clock Monday afternoon and the remains were interred in the Eastside cemetery. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, December 4, 1907)
