ESTHERVILLE - Services fro Mrs. Mary Boggess, 91, Estherville, were held Monday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Father Albert O. Grendler officiating. Interment was in St. Patrick's Catholic Church's cemetery.

Mrs. Boggess died Friday at Rosewood Manor.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Nolan, she was born Aug. 15, 1887, at Armour, S.D. Following her father's death in the blizzard of 1888, she moved with her mother to Cedar Bluffs and, following her mother's marriage to Ben F. Parks, the family moved to Superior and later to Estherville. She received her education in Cedar Bluffs and Superior schools.

She was married to Lester L. Boggess at Estherville in 1912. The late Mr. Boggess served as Emmet County Engineer for many years.

Mrs. Boggess was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and the VFW Auxiliary.

She is survived by three sons, Nolan Boggess, Estherville, Maurice Boggess, Emmetsburg, and Francis Boggess, Northwood; one daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Virginia) Johnson, Estherville; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Boggess was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, was in charge of arrangements.
