Death came to another long time resident, Mrs. Sarah J. Clark, 88, who for 40 years has lived in Emmet county, on Thursday morning. Her death came the day following the funeral services of her son, Charles Clark.

Mrs. Clark was well known in the earlier days of the city. She was a fine Christian woman, quiet and unassuming, but beloved by all who knew her. She was a great lover of children and they were all fond of her.

Funeral services will be held today in the Mahlum and Anderson chapel at 2 p.m. and at the Christian church at 2:30 p.m., the Rev. Fred Sawyer officiating. Interment will be made in the family lot in the East Side cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, December 23, 1937)
