Mrs. Sarah J. Clark and Son, Charles, Laid to Rest
The remains of Charles Clark, 68, a resident of Estherville for the past fifty years, were laid to rest last Monday in the East Side cemetery.

Charles Clark was born July 12, 1867 at Town Hill, Connecticut. He accompanied his parents to Lake Briton at the age of 13. When 20 years old, he came to Estherville and engaged in farming and has been a constant resident of this community since that time.

On March 15, 1899 he was united in marriage to Miss Annie Feather at Swan Lake. To this union there were three children born.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, two sons, Burton and Charles, and a daughter, Mrs. Ardis Ankrum. His mother, who survived him, passed away the day following his funeral.

The services were held from the Church of Christ on Monday afternoon, the Rev. Fred Sawyer officiating. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, December 23, 1937)
