Ringsted -- Funeral services for Mrs. Cecil (Eva) Anderson, 82, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St. John's Lutheran Church in Ringsted with interment in the church cemetery. Pastor Marcus Badgley will officiate. She died Thursday morning in Valley Vue Nursing Home in Armstrong.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Ringsted after 4 p.m. Friday (today) and one hour prior to services at the church.

Eva Madsen Anderson was born Aug. 6, 1899 at Emmetsburg, the daughter of Hans and Christine (Jenson) Madsen. She attended rural Palo Alto County Schools. She married Cecil Anderson on Feb. 17, 1925 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ringsted. The couple farmed in Kossuth County east of Ringsted until retiring in 1964 and they moved into Ringsted.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid and the Modern Mixers Club.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Roger Anderson, West Bend and Dale Anderson, Lone Rock. seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mertyl Jacobsen, Ringsted; three brothers: Clarence and Melvin Madsen, Ringsted and Walter Madsen, Fairmont, Minn.

She was preceded in death by one son: parents and one brother.
