Mrs. Cayler Dies at 86

Mrs. Ruth E. Cayler, 86, long time resident of the Dolliver are, died at 4:18 a.m. today Holy Family Hospital. Mrs. Cayler suffered a stroke in 1963 and since June of that year she had been a resident of the hospital. Death was attributed to complications of advanced age.

Ruth E. Reed was born July 28, 1878 in Carroll County, Ill, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.B. Reed. Mr. and Mrs. Reed brought their family to Emmet County in 18? and became early pioneers of the county. They helped establish the town of Dolliver and lived there the remainder of their lives. Their daughter, Ruth and her brothers and sisters received their early schooling in the area schools.

Ruth Reed and Samuel B. Cayler were married in ____ at Estherville.
