Mrs. Martin Iverson Dies

Mrs. Martin (Cora) Iverson, 84, of Dolliver, died yesterday evening at Holy Family Hospital.

She was born July 4, 1874, near Alden, the eldest daughter of Knudt and Johanna Olsen. She was baptized and confirmed in the Otis Grove Lutheran Church near Dows. She received her education in the Alden schools and taught three years in rural schools in that area.

She was married to Martin J. Iverson of Dows April 3, 1895, and they moved to their farm northwest of Dolliver where she lived until moving to her present home in Dolliver in 1926. Mrs. Iverson has been a charter member of the Palestine Lutheran Church since coming to Emmet County.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Olson and Mrs. Percy Herum, both living near Dolliver, 16 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren, Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Allie Sayles of Pasadena, Calif., and two brothers, Amon Olsen and Raymond Olsen, both of Alden, and many nieces and nephews. She | was preceded in death by her husband in May, 1940, two sons, one who died in infancy and Albert in 1949, her parents, four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Dolliver Methodist Church, the Rev. Cloyd Bishop and the Rev. Harold Sutter officiating. Friends may call at the Sandin-Fuhrman Funeral Home from tomorrow evening until Monday morning; when the body will be taken to the church and will lie in state from 11 until time of services. Burial will be in Palestine Lutheran Cemetery.
