Glen E. (Cub) Pullen, 60, a lifetime resident of Estherville died at 3:50 yesterday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital where he had been hospitalized for the past several weeks. Afflicted with cancer, Mr. Pullen had been in ill health for the past year.

Mr. Pullen was a postal carrier in Estherville for 27 years, starting as a substitute town carrier in May, 1925 and retiring from rural carrier duties on Dec. 1, 1957.

Born Dec. 31, 1897, he was the son of George and Mary (Rowan) Pullen. He received his education in the Estherville schools and in July, 1918 entered the Army, serving a total of nine months, part of which was spent in France.

On June 12, 1922, Glen was united in marriage to Creta A. Brown who preceded him in death on May 13, 1945. Mr. Pullen was married to the former Geraldine F. Buckley on Sept. 21, 1947. She also preceded him in death on Nov. 15, 1956. He is survived by three children, Robert, Phyllis (Mrs. Robert Tirevold) and David. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.

He was a member of the Methodist Church, VFW, American Legion, Oddfellows, Masons and Shrine.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Thursday afternoon at the First Methodist Church, the Rev. William Noland officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
