Estherville--Mrs. George (Harriet) PULLEN, 71, Estherville, died Sunday morning, May 28, at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville. Funeral services for Mrs. Pullen were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, at the Estherville Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Harvey Throop officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
She was born April 3, 1907 at Lake City to Hubert and Erminnie (BRAZABON) Messenger, and was educated in the Lake City schools, later graduating from high school at Austin, Minn. She also attended the University of Minnesota and Winona State Teacher's College, Winona, Minn.
May 12, 1935 she married George Pullen at Austin. After their marriage the couple moved to a farm south of Estherville.
A member of the Presbyterian Church, she was also a member of the Board of Beacons, the West Riverside Country Club, and the Trainman's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, George; one son, Charles, Fort Dodge; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) WINTERTON, Cherokee, and Mrs. Ronald (Mary Jo) BLOUGH, Hinsdale, Ill.; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mae YOUNGDAHL, Austin, Minn., Mrs. Gladys DAHL, Plymouth, and Mrs. Jennie KUHLMANN, Byron, Minn.
Preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters.
Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, was in charge of the arrangements.
