FINAL RITES TODAY FOR EMMA PETERSEN

Funeral services will be held at today at St. Paul's Lutheran church for Mrs. Petersen, 72. Mrs. Petersen died early Monday morning at the hospital in Fairmont, Minn., after suffering a heart attack Sunday afternoon. Services will be conducted by Rev. George Pallesen. Burial will be in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery.

She was born Emma Jackima Skow, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Martin Skow of Palo Alto County, August 29, 1884. She moved to Kossuth County with her parents at an early age and received her education there.

She was united in marriage to Carl P. Petersen on January 06, 1904. They farmed in the area. After the death of her husband in 1941. She made her home with her son Clarence in Ringsted at that time.

The Petersen's had four children. They are Raymond E. and Clarence of Ringsted, Floyd A. of Fort Dodge, and Mrs. Fred (Verna) Johnson of El Centro, California.

Besides her children she leaves 2 surviving sisters, Mrs. Hans Wiuff of Armstrong, Iowa and Mrs. Charles Willson, Fairmont, Minn., 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Her parents, a brother Magnus Skow, and a sister Mrs. Marie Jorgensen, preceded her in death. She leaves nephews, nieces, close relatives, and a large host of friends to mourn her.
