OSKERSON WAS PIONEER

On Monday morning [23 June 1924] Mr. Noris (sic) Oskerson, a familiar figure for years in this city, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nate Rose. While he had been in failing health for years his last illness was of only brief duration, his death being indirectly due to dropsy. He had made his home in this city for thirty-seven years but before coming here had farmed in Minnesota.

Short funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at the Rose home and the remains taken to Grenada, Minn., where they were laid to rest at Center Creek Cemetery after appropriate services.

Mr. Oskerson leaves to mourn his passing four sons, Oliver, Elmer and Henry of Grenada, and Oscar of Fairmont, Minn., and five daughters, Mrs. Simonson of Emmetsburg, Mrs. Thor Hauge of Minneapolis, Mrs. Ralph Oothoud of Winnebago, Minn., Mrs. Frank Grout of Grenada, Minn., and Mrs. Nate Rose of this city.
