WALLINGFORD - Services for Myrtle Beatrice Osher, 80, of Wallingford will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23 at the Wallingford Lutheran Church with Pastor Virgil Anderson presiding. Interment will be in the Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. She died Saturday, June 20 [1992] at the McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S. D.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born in Wallingford on May 11, 1912, the daughter of L. B. and Petra (Wolden). She was educated in Wallingford schools and graduated from Estherville High School in 1929. She married Gilford Osher on October 22, 1932 in Wallingford. The couple has lived most of their married life in Wallingford. During WWII, Gilford was a civilian flight instructor for the U. S. government and the couple lived in Hamilton, Texas and Seattle, Wash. Upon completion of service to the government, the couple moved back to Wallingford where they operated Osher Flying Service for 17 years. After retiring, the couple spent the winters in Mission, Texas. She was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church, WLCW, and Ruth Circle.

She is survived by her husband, one son, Terry Osher of Wallingford, and three daughters: Bernadette Neppl, Jacksonville, Arkansas; Marilee Wee, Spirit Lake; and LuAnn Ostheimer, Windsor,Colorado.

Other survivors include one brother, Laverne Nelson of Geneva, Minn., and four sisters: Mrs. Bertha Olson, Wallingford; Mrs. Palma Rool [sic] Pool, Geneva, Minn.; Mrs. Gladys Robinson, Spearfish, S. D.; and Mrs. Wayne (Lila) Bryan, Estherville; in addition to 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one granddaughter and one sister.
