Mrs. Osher, whose maiden name was Clara Olson, was born in Gol, Hallingdahl, Norway, Jan. 29, 1860. At the age of 18 years, believing that the United States could offer better opportunities than her native country, she migrated, and her first place of residence was at Jackson, Minn., where she remained but a brief time. From there she moved to Estherville where she remained for several years, and was employed by Esther Ridley, the woman after whom Estherville was named.

In December, 1884, she married Mr. Edwin Osher, and immediately after the marriage the couple settled on the farm south and east of Wallingford. Their first home was a simple log cabin.

In the spring of 1911 Mr. and Mrs. Osher moved to Wallingford. Besides her husband, Mrs. Osher also leaves to mourn her death, three children. They are Nels Osher, Mrs. Clarence Skattebo, both of Wallingford, and Mrs. Elmer Osher of Chicago. She also left nine grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. O. L. Rustad of Wallingford, and Mrs. James Johnson of Inwood. Mrs. Osher was a charter member of the Wallingford Lutheran church.

Prior to the services at the church, a brief service was held at the home. Rev. Peder Nordsletten delivered the sermon, and was assisted by Rev. T. Hanson of Lakefield, Minn., who for many years was the pastor at the church in Wallingford.. Rev. S. Strand of Wallingford contributed to the services also.

An octette composed of Mrs. Otis Jorstad, Mrs. J. A. Nelson, Mrs. J. Amdahl, Miss Laurinda Omundson, Mr. LeRoy Wicks, Mr. Wilford Wicks, Mr. Roy Gunderson and Amos Egeland, accompanied by Miss Johanna Larson and under the direction of Mr. S. O. Lundy, sang "No Night There" and "Beautiful Garden of Prayer." The young men of the octette sang "Home at Last," and Mrs. Magnus Wolden played for the remainder of the services.
