Jeffrey August Olson, 72, Wallingford died Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 24, 1973, at Holy Family Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wallingford Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harold Brown officiating. Interment will be made in Riverside Cemetery, Wallingford.

Mr. Olson was born May 11, 1900, to Osmond and Serena Olson at Roland [Story County, IA]. He received his education in schools at Roland, Iowa, and Grafton, N.D., and attended Jewell Lutheran college [Hamilton County, IA].

On April 29, 1924, he was married to Bertha Nelson at Wallingford. He had come to Emmet County in 1914 and had farmed in the vicinity since then until his retirement in 1965. He was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Dolores) Young, Wallingford, and Mrs. Byrl Felkey, Wallingford; one son Kenneth Olson, Estherville; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ihline Olson, Rockledge, Fla., Esther Olson, Salem, Ore., and Mrs. Sidney (Ruth) Brownstone, Lyons, Ore. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, at any time Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday when the body will be taken to lie in state at the church.
