ESTHERVILLE - Services for Mrs. Myrtle S. Morris, 80, of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 4 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Estherville with Pastor Marcia L. Hall officiating. Interment will be in the Swan Lake Township Cemetery in rural Gruver. She died November 30, 1990 in the Holy Family Hospital in Estherville. Friends may call at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, 4-9 p.m. Monday.

She was born Feb. 13, 1910 in Swan Lake Township of Emmet County, the daughter of Hans and Mary (Peterson) Hanson and was educated at Maple Hill graduating in 1928. She married Lowell T. Morris on Sept. 7, 1954 at Fairmont, Minn. She lived on the family farm until moving into Estherville and has lived all her married life in Estherville. On January 2, 1990, she became a resident at Rosewood Manor Noursing Home. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries.

She is survived by one brother, Howard Hanson and wife, Lillian, Graettinger, and one sister, Mrs. Hazel Nielsen, Cedar Falls. She is also survived by 2 nieces: Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Wickersham, Gladbrook, Iowa and Mrs. Joe (Mary Alice) Rafferty, Fort Wayne, Indiana and two nephews, Harvey B. Hanson and wife, Marilyn, Estherville and Harlan Hanson and wife Barbara, Orlando, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant sister.
