ESTHERVILLE -- Services for Herbert N. Fransen, 70, of Estherville will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, with burial in East Side Cemetery.

Mr. Fransen died Sunday at his home.

Friends may call at Henry Funeral Home.

Born March 9, 1905 at De Smet, S. D., Mr. Fransen grew up there and married Mildred Stemple Feb. 14, 1930 in De Smet. They lived in Estherville the past 37 years. He was employed by John Morrell and Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1971.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Eike of Storm Lake, and Mrs. Estel Fairchild of Milford; five grandchildren; and four sisters, all living out of the area.
