Bowen and Berryhill of Cascade and Dubuque

BOWEN, BERRYHILL

In the 1860 census there is a listing for Dubuque (page 90) for a Joseph Berryhill (c.1823) and wife Catherine. With them is Hugh Bowen (name mispelled on census)born c.1804 who is Joseph's half-brother.

Also in Cascade there is a William Berryhill (c.1818) and wife Rosana. With them is mother Hamilton Berryhill (c.1785).

Assuming that the famed Bowen's who founded Bowens Prairie in Jones County and Sand Springs in Delaware County, with lands spilling over into Cascade, would be related to these people above. The mother would have been first married to a Bowen then Berryhill. She is shown to be born in KY while the boys were all born in OH. One researcher hints to the fact that Hugh came out of KY before migrating to Iowa?

Can anyone shed some insight on these people? Where they are or or moved on to?

Thanks!
Eric
