Mrs. Catherine Mertes Heeb died at Finley hospital Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock. She had been ailing for several months.
The remains are at the Walton-Schroeder chapel, from where the funeral will be held Wednesday morning to St. Patrick's church at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made in Linwood cemetery.
Mrs. Heeb was born August 17, 1860, and had resided here and in East Dubuque her entire lifetime. She was a practical nurse and her death brings sorrow to her many friends, as she was loved by all who had the privilege of her acquaintance. She is survived by a brother and sister, also several nieces and nephews. A brother, Matt Mertes, died several days ago. She was a member of St. Patrick's.
