Mrs. Mae Taylor, wife of Thomas J. Taylor, died in Los Angeles, Calif., Saturday evening at 6 o'clock, after a lingering illness. She had been visiting there at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Penberthy, since last May.
Mrs. Taylor was born at McGregor, Iowa, March 25, 57 years ago, and was married to Thomas J. Taylor, January 22, 1884. Seven children were born to this union. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Frank Penberthy of Los Angeles, two sons, Arthur and Ervin, both of Dubuque, one sister, Mrs. Frank Haislette of Waterloo and one brother, John McCraney, of Dubuque.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Methodist church and of the Ladies Aid society of the Jackson street church.
The body will be brought to Dubuque and taken to the Haudensheild funeral home, where funeral services will be held. The time and date will be announced later. Burial will be at Asbury.
