DEATH OF MRS. E.M. TAYLOR.
Passed Away at Finley Hospital Wednesday, After an Illness of Four Weeks.
Mrs. Eliza Morgan Taylor, wife of the late James W. Taylor, died at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Finley hospital, after an illness of four weeks.
Deceased was born at Sinsinawa, Wis., Oct. 22, 1829. She came to Iowa with her parents in the fall of 1833 and settled in Dubuque county in the vicinity of Asbury, where she lived until a few years ago.
She was married to James W. Taylor in 1847, was the mother of twelve children, of whom six survive her. Those living are Mrs. A. Mulhollen, Mrs. Xavier Schneider, of Chicago; Mr. Landon Taylor, Mr. George W. Taylor, Mr. Thos. F. Taylor and Mr. T.B. Taylor, all of Dubuque.
Mrs. Taylor had since childhood been a follower of Christ, was a member of Asbury M.E. church for over forty years, and was always willing and ready to do anything for the upbuilding of God's cause. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Old Settlers' association of Dubuque county.
